Jack McNamara, Chairman of the New Jersey Aviation Association, has written a letter to the Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) to voice NJAA's support for Solberg Airport as we continue our fight to save one of the few remaining privately-owned, general aviation airports.
In McNamara's words:
"NJAA urges you to intercede in the pending litigation and advise the court that this airport encompasses 744 acres, most of which have been targeted in this eminent domain action by Readington Township, which has long demonstrated its opposition to the development of aeronautics in this State, now in a manner which is beyond the authority of their charter."

I feel the pain of this airport. For years now the people of Biddeford Maine want the airport to shut down. Especially the people who built right next to runway 24. Airports like mine are dying off like the aviation industry. I hope that the people realize the Soleberg Airport is important part of the community and that it will remain open. Keep up the fight!
